Install

Bardeen is a Chrome browser extension. There is no npm package, no CLI, and no pip install. Installation happens entirely through the Chrome Web Store.

Step 1 - Install the Chrome extension

Open Chrome and navigate to the Bardeen listing on the Chrome Web Store:

https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/bardeen-automate-manual-w/ihhkmalpkheccfkjanikobjmgmkkhlce

Click Add to Chrome, then confirm by clicking Add extension in the browser prompt.

Step 2 - Pin the extension

After installation, click the puzzle-piece Extensions icon in Chrome's toolbar, find Bardeen in the list, and click the pin icon to keep it visible in the toolbar.

Step 3 - Create an account or sign in

Click the Bardeen icon in the toolbar. You will be redirected to https://www.bardeen.ai/start to create a free account (Google OAuth or email). A Free plan is created automatically, which includes 100 credits per month.

Step 4 - Open Bardeen on a target page

Navigate to any website you want to scrape (for example, a LinkedIn search results page, a GitHub repository list, or a Product Hunt page). Click the Bardeen icon in the toolbar to open the sidebar. Bardeen injects itself into the current page context and surfaces available scraper templates.

Requirements

  • Google Chrome (desktop). Bardeen is Chrome-only; no Firefox or Safari support is listed.
  • An active Bardeen account (free tier available).
  • No local software install beyond the browser extension.

Alternate access (web dashboard)

Some features are also accessible from the Bardeen web dashboard at https://www.bardeen.ai/ without the extension, but full scraping and automation require the extension running in Chrome.
